Jazz Drive-In Cinema starts screening in Bahria Town Karachi.

The Jazz Drive-In Cinema has started screening in Karachi at the Raiha Cine-Gold Plex, Bahria Town, Phase-1. Movies will be screened in the evenings from Friday to Sunday and will follow a week-wise theme ranging from classics to action, science-fiction, fantasy and animations – a movie for each member of the family.

This is an initiative of Jazz, Pakistan’s number one 4G operator and the largest internet and broadband service provider, in partnership with Activemedia and with the collaboration of Bahria Town, Raiha Cine-Gold Plex, The House of Rana, Bookitnow.pk and Samaa FM.

Jazz Cash is the official digital payment partner for this drive-in cinema with all food stalls and ticket counters offering mobile payment solutions. To promote digital payments, tickets and food purchased via Jazz Cash will result in 50% cashback for a limited time period.

Movie-goers are provided space to park their vehicles in an orderly manner with the movie audio individually heard through each vehicle’s stereo via radio-frequency.

Jazz to partner with Eva ZuBeck to promote softer image of Pakistan.

World’s renowned travel v-logger, Eva ZuBeck, has put Pakistan on the travel map for young people the world over. She has now partnered with country’s leading digital communications company, Jazz, for an enthralling digital travel show called – ‘Eva Travels Pakistan with Jazz’. For this reason, a grand launch event was held yesterday at Karachi’s upscale restaurant Ambrosia. Pleasant weather added more flavour this already wonderful evening.  Event was held to not only show-case the show’s pilot, but also discuss how such endeavours create Pakistan’s soft image internationally and boost travel diplomacy and people-to-people connections.

The idea behind this digital series is to help the world understand Pakistan’s cultural exuberance and hospitality. The Polish national, Eva ZuBeck began her journey as a travel v-logger in 2018 – and Jazz will highlight various aspects of Pakistan that remain hidden to the world.

Eva ZuBeck introduced herself as a story teller and said; I call myself a story teller, but I see everyone else as a story teller too. Everyone has a story to tell and its best to travel and experience all this first-hand”.

When asked about her feeling on being a part of such project, Eva said; “I have a feeling of being over the moon, as this kind of event has never been done before. It’s more like a ‘social media travel show’ and in involves a proper journey”.

She further went on to say; “coming to Pakistan has been such a great experience for me. When I first came here, I never expected to become so popular amongst the Pakistani people. I feel grateful that Jazz chose me to be part of such a great initiative. Getting to see and portray the true colours of Pakistan through this series is going to be a great experience, both for me and my digital followers”.

Eva ZuBeck said; “the best part of her journey has always been the hospitality that has been extended to her all throughout Pakistan. People outside Pakistan have no idea about the hospitality that awaits them here in Pakistan”.

On the concluding note Eva ZuBeck said; “best of social media is that with social media you can be yourself within limited sources, you can express yourself at you like”.


Kazim Mujtaba, Head of Marketing at Jazz, discussed the mobile operator’s involvement in the series, “At Jazz, our tagline is, “Dunya ko Bataa Do” which aligns perfectly with the need for such a show. Even before this partnership, Eva had been promoting a more positive image of Pakistan which was one of the reasons why we chose her to be the face of the show. Jazz, with this series, will be enabling Eva in her travels as it does for millions across Pakistan”.

He continued, “We here at Jazz are working towards a more digitized Pakistan and have always supported young and emerging talent in efforts to promote the country”.

The show that will be broadcasted on several mediums will have the first season will comprise of eight episodes in total, with a new episode available for viewing every week on Eva’s YouTube Channel. The first season will showcase the beauty and magnificence of Sindh and Balochistan where the local traditions, cultures, customs and cuisine will be highlighted along with various sights and historical places located in the Southern parts of the country. Viewers will be kept engaged on Jazz’s and Eva’s official platforms to share feedback and recommendations on the places she should visit in upcoming episodes.

The launch event concluded with a panel discussion between Asif Aziz COO of Jazz, Eva ZuBeck and Irfan Junejo Pakistan’s leading v-logger (travel) spoke extensively about this excellent initiative by Jazz. After the panel discussion a Question & Answer session was held, which included various v-loggers, where everyone discussed the importance of promoting a softer image of Pakistan through digital media.
