‘Ishrat – Made in China’ all set for release on 03rd March.

Official trailer of Pakistani movie ‘Ishrat Made in China’ was launched last week and the trailer looks promising with Mohib Mirza stealing the limelight and leading lady Sanam Saeed not lagging that far.

‘Ishrat Made in China’ is a joint collaboration is brought to by Geo Films, Mintrio, Ek Alif Films, Eleven Eleven Films and Eveready group of companies. It’s a film produced and directed as a debut by Mohib Mirza with Tahseen Kamal and Parmesh Adiwal as co-directors, written by Ahsan Raza Firdousi with Mohib Mirza as co-writer.

Mohib Mirza stars as the titular character Ishrat. The film is the spin-off of Mirza’s comedy series Ishrat Baji. Leading lady is Sanam Saeed along with Sara Loren, Hasan Sheharyar Yasin (HSY), Shamoon Abbasi, Ali Kazmi, Imam Syed, Salman Saqib (Mani), Shabbir Jan, Nayer Ejaz, Mustafa Chaudhry and Laila Wasti.

‘Ishrat Made in China’ is set to be released 3rd March in cinemas all over Pakistan.

7th Sky Entertainment brings ‘Faasiq’- another compelling drama serial for the audiences’ on Geo TV.

The forerunner of the Pakistani entertainment industry, 7th Sky Entertainment, spear-headed by ace producers Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, released another compelling narrative ‘Faasiq’ for the audiences’ on Geo Entertainment.

The story of ‘Faasiq’ revolves around a pious and religious young girl Fatima, who hails from a middle-class family. Fatima is in love with her cousin Umair, however, she sacrifices her love for Anaya who is already jealous of Fatima. On the other hand, Mutahir hails from a humble background for which he has always been ridiculed for, he soon sets himself on a path of destruction to take revenge from those who have humiliated him.

‘Faasiq’ depicts the way people’s behavior changes with the time when they are led astray from the path of righteousness and gravitate towards wrongdoings. Penned down by Hina Huma Nafees and directed by Saleem Ghanchi, Faasiq supports an ensemble cast including Sehar Khan, Haroon Shahid, Adeel Chaudhary, Sukaina Khan, Mohsin Gilani, Tariq Jamil, Azra Mohiuddin, Sabiha Hashmi, Beena Chaudhry and Sadaf Ashaan.

Wahaj Ali’s ‘Dil Na Umeed to Nahi’ and ‘Fitoor’ to hit the screens this month.

After garnering praises for his performance in Ghisi Piti Mohabbat, Wahaj Ali is ready to take over the screens in the cause-based drama ‘Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahi’ alongside the talented Yumna Zaidi, and another tale of love, ‘Fitoor’, alongside Faysal Quraishi and Hiba Bukhari.

‘Dil Na Umeed to Nahi’ is a socially relevant drama, tackling multiple issues including human trafficking and child abuse. Wahaj Ali will be seen starring in the role of ‘Jamshed’ – a sensitive guy who ends up distancing himself from the people he loved the most, and the positivity he has despite his bitter surroundings. With two strikingly different, but socially moving roles in Bikhray Moti and Ghisi Piti Mohabbat, the actor is once again ready to star in an emotionally moving and issue-focused drama. Whereas, ‘Fitoor’ on the other hand, is a story of love that transcends all. It is based on a newfound love that is constantly under the shadows of the past.

‘Dil Na Umeed to Nahi’ has been made in collaboration with Kashf Foundation, and is directed by Kashif Nisar and penned down by Amna Mufti. The power-packed cast also includes: Yumna Zaidi, Noman Ejaz, Yasra Rizvi, Samiya Mumtaz, Omair Rana, Nadia Afgan, Anvid Shahzad, and Noor ul Hassan.

‘Fitoor’ is directed by Ali Faizan, of ‘Raaze Ulfat’ and ‘Ramze Ishq’. Scripted down by Zanjabeel Asim, and co-produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi of 7th Sky Entertainment. The ensemble cast consists of Faysal Quraishi, Hiba Bukhari and Kiran Haq.

‘Kasa-e-Dil’ narrates a compelling story of two cousins, Hatim and Somia who have liked each other since childhood and are long waiting to be united. Somia’s aunt who is Hatim’s mother has never been in favour of this relationship and sets on the task of making them grow apart. Meanwhile, a well-established guy Adan loses his heart to Somia at first sight but is unable to express his feelings. Somia’s aunt who is already against Somia, begins to defame her by involving Adan’s name and eventually succeeds in doing so as Hatim leaves Somia.

‘Kasa-e-Dil’, on the surface, appears to be a love triangle with all the elements of an intriguing tale. The drama revolves around the misunderstandings in relationships that oftentimes lead us to fall apart. The drama is penned down by Jehanzib Qamar and is directed by Zeeshan Ahmed of ‘Deewangi’ fame. The actor will be seen in a negative role, playing the character of Atif Nawaz – a selfish man who runs an advertising agency and manipulates aspiring new actors and actresses for his personal gains. Ahsan Khan & Ushna Shah to create magic on-screen in ‘Bandhay Ek Dour Se’

Yet another on-screen unconventional celebrity couple is all set to hit our screens this month and this time it is the power-packed pair of Ushna Shah and Ahsan Khan, all set to breeze their way in Geo Entertainment’s new drama ‘Bandhay Ek Dour Se’.

The story is penned by Faiza Ifthikar of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi fame and is helmed by the star director Ali Faizan. The drama is produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi’s 7th Sky Entertainment.

Joining Ahsan Khan and Ushna Shah in the cast are Hina Altaf in a supporting role, Saba Faisal, Saba Hameed, Samina Ahmed, Noor Hassan, Madiha Rizvi, Ali Rizvi, Qavi Khan and many more.

The promos of the drama are grabbing eyeballs on social media and the duo has dazzled the viewers with their palpable chemistry in the teaser.

Speaking to media about his role in the drama, Ahsan Khan revealed; “my character is of a young, guy-next-door, happy-go-lucky person and he tries to always keep his family united. There is also a love story revolving around him and he tries his best to take it to marriage while connecting two families to it. Ushna Shah also revealed major details about her avatar and we can’t wait to see her in the exciting role. She said; “I play the role of Maheen – the protagonist in the story. She is Umar’s cousin, played by Ahsan Khan. She is a very nice, bubbly, well-mannered girl who is very mature for her age. She lands herself in a situation that is very painful but she has to handle it and maintain her dignity throughout. At the same time, there is a beautiful love and romance she gets involved in”.

The leading pair also divulged that the drama will be devoid of clichéd saas-bahu dilemmas and will highlight the sweet and sour life of middle-class households.

“If the audience wants to watch a story of a household and families, something very light while also very deep and which we all can connect to, then this drama is for them. It is very casual, light-hearted, and emotional. It is very well-shot and well-written describing issues that happen in common households. If the viewers are looking for entertainment and love old PTV, family-oriented dramas, then this project will take them back in time as it has enjoyable elements that fans will get riveted to,” stated Ahsan.

Ushna added that the plot will also depict strong unity amongst women that is surely much needed on our television screens, she said; “it will be a whole-hearted Pakistani family drama which will be very entertaining. It is not a typical saas-bahu drama but about love, loyalty, and also about unity amongst women in a household,” revealed Ushna.
